The Syracuse Stampede is a 12K and a 5K trail run held in conjunction with the Antelope Island Stampede. In fact, your race registration fee includes a race-day entrance pass to the Antelope Island Stampede Festival! Here's a map of how to get to White Rock Bay and the Stampede area. Costs start at $40 for the 12k, and $30 for the 5k. (Late fees, and same day registration fees may be added - so sign up TODAY!)

What you can expect at the race:

• A professionally-timed, rugged trail run with spectacular views
• A super cool high-tech shirt
• Prizes for the top 3 overall (male and female) and the top 3 in each age group (male and female) in each race
• Drawings for lots of prizes for registered participants - even if you don't finish in the top 3
• Free Gate entrance for your vehicle and its occupants to Antelope Island and the Antelope Island Stampede Festival (a $15 value) on Race Day
• In and Out privileges to the park on Race Day.
• Yummy snacks at the end of the race provided by Davis Hospital

• Check-in, bibs, registration packets and late registration are at the island's main gate parking lot on Race Day (Saturday - Sept 1) between 6 AM & 7AM.

• It takes about 30 mins to comfortably drive from the gate to White Rock Bay - with an 8AM start to both races.

• (The lot and the Main Gate are on the mainland end of the causeway. Turn left about 50' before the Ranger Station Toll Booth.)

Note: If you'd like to stay on the island - but want to clean up: Bring soap, shampoo, a towel, change of clothes and about 6 quarters - in order to take a hot, private shower at Bridger Bay (the north end of the island).

There are four ways to register for the Syracuse Stampede Trail Race:

• Register Online: Click the starburst above right, go to Runner Card and pay online with credit card
• Register by mail (postmarked by Aug 24th): Print and fill out the registration form, attach a check made out to "Buffalo Run Adventures", and mail it to Syracuse Stampede, 130 S 1500 W, Marriott Slaterville, UT 84404
• Register in person (by August 30th): Print out the registration form, and take it, along with cash or check to Striders Running Store, 1776 N Hillfield Rd #4, Layton OR take it to Syracuse City Offices, 1979 W 1900 S, Syracuse (801-825-1477).
• Register the day of the event from 6:00-7:00AM at the south parking lot just before the Ranger's Gate to Antelope Island (Availability and your size of race shirt is not guaranteed for last minute registrants.)

The runs begin promptly at 8AM - from the east side of the balloon launching field - and follows the courses below.
